Biography:
Amanda Hendon has been a resident in the City of W. Hollywood for 14 years and an active participant donating her time to further the
greatness of the community. She received the prestigious "Women in Leadership Award" 2007. For 3 years she sat on the
Board of 'Friends of Rosewood" elementary school and created an after school theater arts program for kids interested in
all areas of the performing arts. Amanda also produced the musical "Grease" for Rosewood's 5th grade class setting
precedence for future artistic endeavors. Six years ago, Amanda partnered with the City of W. Hollywood to produce "The
Vagina Monologues" annually as part of the V-Day Worldwide Campaign, raising awareness and money for local and global
beneficiaries that work toward ending violence against women and girls. Because of the success of the W. Hollywood events,
the V-Day organization has recruited Amanda for her expertise and she will be part of a dynamic producing team that is
organizing a two week festival scheduled for the summer of 2008.
